This edition is produced in a small batch of numbered bottles, bottled at cask strength, non-chill filtered. Its vivid colour comes naturally from the ageing in Spanish Fino Sherry Cask, which is the driest and palest from all traditional sherry wines. Kavalan Solist Fino Whisky has been awarded several times by prestigious groups including The Beverage Testing Institute, International Review of Spirits, San Francisco World Spirits Competition and World Whiskies Awards.
Tasting notes
Dark Gold with amber hues.
The nose is very aromatic. Notes of sherry, toffee and fruit followed by a oak and dark chocolate.
The palate is smooth and buttery with notes of toffee, loads of sherry and dried fruit. Followed by notes of oak and leather.
Pleasant long sweet finish.
The distillery was founded in 2005 by the King Car Group and named after the indigenous natives who originally inhabited the area located in the northeast of Taiwan. The sub-tropical island climate and the blending skills of world-class master blender Ian Chang and specialist Dr Jim Swan make Kavalan whisky unique in its class.
