Longrow RED is a peated Single Malt Whisky from the Springbank Distillery. This is an annual release and limited edition of 8000 bottles. Each year a different type of red wine cask is used to mature the whisky. Longrow RED matured for seven years in bourbon barrels and four years in Tawny Port Casks. Bottled at cask strength, non-chill filtered and free of colouring. Longrow whiskies are produced at the Springbank Distillery, named after a "Lost Distillery" from the Victorian days. These single malts are heavily peated and double-distilled, reflecting an old style of whiskies with an oily, full-bodied flavour profile.
