A limited-edition single cask whisky bottled exclusively for Paul Ullrich Switzerland. Distilled from Barley in April 2011. Aged in an Imperial Stout Barrel. Only 236 bottles were released worldwide. Cask No.3538
Founded by Ichiro Akuto - grandson of the originator of the Hanyu Distillery, which has been closed for a few years. Chichibu became operational in 2008 and it is the first and smallest Japanese single malt distillery since the Hakushu. The distillery is known for producing fruity and well-balanced whiskey and for housing the last stocks of Karuizawa, Kawasaki and Hanyu, and has its own bottling facility.
