A new bottling of Samaroli Caribbean Soul which has become a classic and is a synthesis of different souls from the Caribbean united in this racy creation. Only 900 bottles have been released, with this in mind, here's a pretty exciting blended rum from the renowned independent bottler Samaroli.
Tasting notes
Deep golden colour with amber highlights
The bouquet is captivating with notes of mushrooms, humus tones, undergrowth and damp foliage. On second tasting, nuances of cream, ground coffee and nutmeg emerge.
Spicy and long-lasting maritime accents on the palate. Hints of custard, peanut butter and hazelnut.
A full-bodied, tasty rum that has some interesting savoury elements alongside the familiar vanilla and oak notes. The herbal notes are almost reminiscent of the rancio of a well-matured cognac.
Samaroli is an independent bottler of rare rums and whiskies from around the world. The company was originally founded by Silvano Samaroli in 1968, who at the time was the only non-British or non-Scottish person in the trade. His passion, knowledge and experience of almost 50 years of individually selecting the best casks allowed him to expose the complexity of each of the spirits, maintaining their harmonious balance and outstanding taste. The maturation is carried out in Scotland, where the climate (cooler than in the Caribbean) enables longer ageing and consequently cleaner more elegant rums. Every bottle is numbered and dated. The company is lead today by Antonio W. Bleve who after a long time of collaboration and love for the company’s philosophy, has continued to deliver outstanding unique releases of single cask whiskies and rums.
