Unlike the original Drambuie, this liquor is exclusively made from 15-year-old Speyside single malts and not a blend of Scottish grain and malt whiskies. The name Drambuie is derived from Scots Gaelic ‘An Dram Buidheach’ and means “The Drink that Satisfies”.
Tasting notes
Straw pale gold
Slight smoky herbaceous note, scents of citrus oil, saffron and honey
Silky with the ideal balance of sweetness and spiciness. Cloves, fennel seeds, fruitcake and orange zest are all noticeable without impairing the light malty whisky notes. Drambuie makes the ideal base for cocktails, but is also a real treat on its own or on ice. The Rusty Nail is certainly the most famous Drambuie cocktail and still one of the classics of every whisky bar.
Silky with the ideal balance of sweetness and spiciness.
